SEN Pick Your Own Pumpkin Sessions

We have been nurturing a huge number of pumpkins and squash in our fields again this year and we can’t wait to welcome you to pick a pleasingly plump one! Whether you want to cook or carve we have all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours to choose from.

Dates & times:
Sunday 20th October
Monday 28th October
9am – 10am exclusively for families with special educational needs (SEN), then open to general ticket holders from 10am.

For these SEN sessions, the first one hour will be reserved for SEN ticket holders only. This will hopefully allow for a quieter session, where families can have a head start on picking their pumpkins!

Tickets & prices:
£2.50 per person

  • Everyone who wants to enter the fields must have an admission ticket
  • Toddlers and babies under 2 years old do not require an admission ticket and may enter free of charge with a full paying adult.
  • Carers tickets are available for this event (1 per booking - proof of carer status OR an accepted form of documentation that supports the need for a carer must be made available on entry if a carer's ticket has been purchased.)
  • If you require multiple carers tickets for a large group booking, please email us on enquiries@milletsfarmcentre.com with your requests and we will get back to you with how to process this. To read our full carers policy please click here.

Other useful information:

  • Once in the field you choose the pumpkins you wish to take home with you and pay for these before leaving.
  • Wheelbarrows will be available for you to use to transport your pumpkins to the exit desk.
  • Pumpkins/squash prices vary depending on the size and variety of the pumpkins. Prices will be advised at entry to the pumpkin patch and again at exit.
  • The patch will be Halloween themed, with lots of props and photo ops, whilst remaining suitable for a family audience.
  • A huge amount of space is required to grow all the pumpkins we need each year so some pumpkins will have been grown on other areas of the farm and brought to the pumpkin patch for you to pick.
  • This year we are hosting some new optional activities within our daytime pumpkin patch, including pumpkin carving, a scarecrow trail and goodie bags. All of these can be pre-booked alongside your field admission.
  • We hope these sessions will enable those families with SEN children to enjoy all our daytime pumpkin patch has to offer, however please make your own judgements based on your individual needs.
  • Visitors will be required to show proof of ID on arrival.
